Despite Sky Germany reporting last night that Bayern Munich had decided to keep Benjamin Pavard, further reports suggest that representatives of the French defender will continue to push for a move.
Pavard (27) – who sat on Bayern Munich’s bench in their 4-0 win against Werder Bremen on Friday night – wants to leave for Inter, but Thomas Tuchel is pushing for the French international to remain at the club and see out his contract, which expires in 2024.
Sport1’s Kerry Hau further reported that Pavard and his management will continue to push for a move to Inter, and if the Italian side improves their bid then an agreement could still be reached. Bayern Munich want a reported €35m (€30m plus €5m) for Pavard, who has made it clear internally – on several occasions – that he would like to leave the Rekordmeister.
This is further backed up by Manuel Bonke, who tweeted that in principle, Bayern would still be open to selling Pavard but only if Inter meet their valuation.
However, Florian Plettenberg reported on Saturday morning that Josip Stanišić had reached a verbal agreement with Bayer Leverkusen and has already left the team to undergo his medical. Bayern have also given the Croatian permission to leave on loan, which could also affect the future of Pavard.
