Bayern survive surprising test from Hertha, Leipzig and Wolfsburg maintain momentum

Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Manuel Neuer is making significant progress in his recovery from the leg injury that has sidelined him since last winter.

Speaking after Bayern Munich’s 4-0 win over Werder Bremen, Tuchel expressed hope that Neuer will be back on the team sheet in the not too distant future.

“We hope he can return to team training in 2-3 weeks. After that, [a comeback] will be quick if things stay as they are now.”

Sven Ulreich will be in goal while Neuer continues his recovery, with 23-year-old Daniel Peretz set to arrive from Maccabi Tel Aviv to provide competition for him.
