Bayern Munich continue their search for a number six

Kicker reports that Bayern Munich have a list of candidates as they continue their search for a new defensively-minded midfielder.

On the list of candidates include Ibrahim Sangaré (PSV Eindhoven), Wilfried Ndidi (Leicester City), Aurelien Tchouemani (Real Madrid) and Florentino Luis (Benfica), Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel is said to rate Luis very highly. Chelsea’s new midfield Moises Caicedo was also offered to Bayern before he joined the Premier League side.

However, it is possible that Bayern may come up with a surprise option for the midfield position in the latter stages of the transfer window.

All interest Tuchel and Bayern as they look for a number six midfielder that could play next to Joshua Kimmich who Tuchel would like to use his attacking qualities.

There are issues with some of these targets. Sky Germany has previously reported that Sangaré is not an option at Bayern. While Tchouemani and Real Madrid have both publically made it clear that the Frenchman will not be leaving the club this summer.

Bayern currently have four senior midfielders in Kimmich, Konrad Laimer, Leon Goretzka and Ryan Gravenberch who in the eyes of Tuchel cannot play the number six position despite the fact that Kimmich has publically stated that he can.
