Aymeric Laporte is set to join Al-Nassr after their bid to sign the defender was accepted by Manchester City.
This is according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein who is also claiming the player is open to the possibility of moving to the Middle East.
The Spain international still has two years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium but the Citizens are willing to sell him in this transfer window.
Laporte missed the first two months of the 2022-23 season due to a knee surgery. But even after full recovery, he struggled to feature regularly for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The 29-year-old started only 11 Premier League matches and also played in just four Champions League games.
His first-team chances received a further blow after City splashed a whopping €90 million to sign Josko Gvardiol from RB Leipzig.
The former Athletic Bilbao star now appears to be heading to Saudi Pro League, which has attracted some of the biggest names in football this summer.
Since landing Cristiano Ronaldo on a free transfer last December, Al-Nassr have been even more ambitious in this window.

They have completed transfers for Ex-Liverpool star Sadio Mane, Croatia international Marcelo Brozovic and Manchester United’s Alex Telles so far. And now they look on the verge of wrapping up a deal for Laporte who boasts plenty of experience at the top level.
The 29-year-old’s arrival would serve as a huge boost in their attempt to win the Pro League title this season.
