West Ham’s 24-year-old set for loan exit to Southampton

According to Roshane Thomas, Flynn Downes, will have his medical at Southampton on Wednesday before beginning his season-long loan.

Following his £12 million transfer from Swansea City, the 24-year-old midfielder made 21 appearances during the 2022–23 season, but just a few of them were from the start.

Thomas said on his X account: “Flynn Downes is set to have his medical at Southampton tomorrow ahead of season-long loan move. Midfielder could make his debut against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.”
