Journalist Janis Klimburg of Germany’s preeminent footballing publication now reports that Robin Gosens’ transfer to 1. FC Union Berlin will be officially finalized today.

The rumored transfer of German left-back Robin Gosens to Berlin’s Köpenick club is now apparently preparing to become a reality. After initially downplaying a reported agreement between 1. FC Union Berlin and Inter Milan on Saturday, Germany’s preeminent footballing publication now verifies that the 29-year-old will join Union for a transfer fee of €15 million plus add ons.

Italain transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that Gosens is due in the German capital today and will be unveiled after a scheduled medical. The German national team defender will surely be available for die Eisernen ahead of their opening 2023/24 Bundesliga match against FSV Mainz 05 on Saturday.
