Bayern Munich have announced the signing of Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur.
The England captain has signed a four-year deal at the club until 2027, and becomes one of the club’s top earners. Kane will earn a reported €25m salary at Bayern Munich, a significant increase on the €12m he was on at Tottenham.
After three unsuccessful bids, Spurs finally accepted a fee of €100m plus add-ons for their starman.
The transfer saga between Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich has been long and sometimes confusing. For a time, it looked as if Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou had won over Kane since his arrival this summer.
However, once the bid had been accepted and several last-minute green lights were given, Kane made his way to Munich.
Bayern’s Bundesliga campaign begins next Friday as the Bavarians head to Werder Bremen in the season’s curtain-raiser.
It’s expected that Kane will be in Bayern Munich’s squad to face RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup on Saturday night.
