Signed on a free last summer, Polish midfielder Jacek Goralski was never able to establish himself at VfL Bochum due to a myriad of injuries. The 30-year-old 2018 World Cup participant made just four league appearances for the Revierklub during the 2022/23 campaign, starting twice early in the season’s “Hin-runde”.
On Thursday, Bochum confirmed that Goralski’s contract would be terminated by mutual consent. In a statement released by the club, newly installed permanent sporting director Marc Lettau acknowledged that the move had not worked out and thanked the player for his “exemplary and professional attitude.”
