Newly promoted Serie A side Genoa are keen on signing Chelsea’s Cesare Casadei but are facing stiff competition from Leicester City.
Sky Italia report that Genoa are keen on bringing the youngster back to Italy, with Leicester keeping an eye on him for quite sometime. Chelsea are currently evaluating Casadei’s situation and are considering whether they should loan him out or not this summer, as they want to understand what is best for his development.
Leicester currently have an advantage in the saga, as Casadei want to stay in England and Leicester would allow that, even though they’re now in the Championship. Despite that, Genoa are still trying.
Casadei was loaned out to Reading last season and he scored once in 15 games in the Championship and he recently starred in the Under-20s FIFA World Cup some weeks ago and he even attracted attention from Juventus after his sparkling show in the tournament.
