Weghorst reportedly set for Bundesliga return

Bild reports that Hoffenheim are bringing Wout Weghorst back to Germany.

TSG Hoffenheim are set to sign former Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst on loan, according to Bild.


The deal with Burnley FC is said to have been completed and is expected to be announced shortly.

Weghorst, 31, left Wolfsburg to join Burnley in January 2022 for a reported fee of €17.5 million.

He spent the first half of last season on loan at Besiktas and the second half on loan at Manchester United.

The Dutchman has made 118 appearances and scored 59 goals in the Bundesliga.
