Veteran French centre-forward Bafetimbi Gomis (38) is not done with football yet. The 38-year-old globetrotter has agreed an 18-month deal with Japan side Kawasaki Frontale, who currently sit in seventh place in the J1 League’s standings. Gomis was looking for another challenge after his contract with Turkish Süper Lig outfit Galatasaray expired last June. The former Swansea and Marseille player still has a keen eye for goal. This past campaign, he found the back of the net 10 times in 28 games played with the Istanbul-based outfit.

In their press release, the J1 League’s side revealed that Gomis will be eligible to play in official games as soon as his player registration’s procedure is complete. Kawasaki Frontale will be Gomis’ eighth club in his long career after Saint-Etienne, Troyes, Lyon, Swansea, Marseille, Al-Hilal and Galatasaray.
