Sky Germany reports that any move to Wolfsburg for Robin Gosens is now off and the left-back will stay at Inter Milan this season.
Gosens was reportedly not 100% convinced of a move to Wolfsburg which ultimately put him off of a move to the Bundesliga. Wolfsburg had also originally made an offer of a loan move with an obligation to buy of €14m, but the bid was rejected by Inter.
Union Berlin had also shown interest in the 29-year-old but were priced out of the move and the club began exploring other options with AS Monaco’s Ismail Jakobs, making Wolfsburg the only team in the race for Gosens.
Wolfsburg have already reacted to Gosens’ decision and have completed the signing of Sassuolo left-back Rogério. The 25-year-old joins the Wolves for €5.5m and signs a contract until 2027.
For most of last season, Gosens featured off of the bench for Inter featuring a total of 49 times as the club won the Coppa Italia while also reaching the Champions League final.
