Franck Kessié is about to leave FC Barcelona. Signed from AC Milan last year, he is set to join Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia in the coming days.
Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona have closed the deal with the Saudi Arabian club for the transfer of the midfielder, who will leave for a fee in the region of €15m. The economic injection for the club will be important, taking into account that the Ivorian arrived on a free transfer. The transfer will help Barça’s financial fair play and allow them to be able to register players for the new season.
In his first season as a Barça player, Kessié managed to be a good option for head coach Xavi Hernández, even scoring an important goal in a Clásico against Madrid that clinched the La Liga title for Barça. However, not being regular in the side and due to the financial needs of the club, Barça have decided to sell the 26-year-old.
