Serie A side Atalanta are close to sealing a move for Milan’s Charles de Ketelaere, only a year after the Belgian moved to the San Siro.
De Ketelaere has endured a frustrating stint at the Rossoneri, failing to score and make any sort of impact. La Gazzetta dello Sport state that his exit from the club is about to be made.
As things stand, only the approval of the player is missing. In the last three days, Milan and La Dea made progress over the deal after holding in-depth talks and a draft agreement was reached on Tuesday. He will join Atalanta on a one-year loan deal of €6 million with the option to buy permanently.
This happened after Milan realised that they will not be able to sell him permanently this summer and they are now waiting for the Belgian’s approval for the move. De Ketelaere is aware of the developments taking place and he is said to be intrigued by the possibility of playing under Gian Piero Gasperini.
