Reports suggesting that Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Djibril Sow would be headed to Italy’s Serie A have gone cold. Instead, it appears as if the Swiss international is headed west to Spain. German journalist Christopher Michel of broadcaster “Sport1” reports that Eintracht and FC Sevilla have worked out a transfer that will total around €14 million with performance bonuses included.
Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirms Michel’s report. Sow is apparently due in Sevilla for a medical today and will potentially be unveiled later in the evening. Sow has made league appearances for the SGE since joining from Basel Young Boys in the summer of 2019. He’s scored seven league goals and, as a reliable fixture in midfield, pumped his estimated market worth up to €22 million.
Exkl. Viel Erfolg in Andalusien Djibi! @SPORT1 #SGE
