Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich have reportedly failed to reach an agreement over Harry Kane move after their talks in London.
According to The Athletic, representatives from the two clubs met on Monday to discuss the transfer of the 29-year-old but couldn’t reach an agreement.
Kane is the Bavarians’ number one target this summer but they are reportedly still £25 million apart with Spurs in the player’s valuation.
Bayern have had two bids rejected for the experienced striker so far, but they are still confident of securing a deal for him.
It is said they will continue negotiations with the Premier League outfit over the coming weeks.
Kane has been part of Tottenham’s pre-season tour and started in their 5-1 win over Lion City Sailors last week.
His contract at the club will run out in 2024 and he hasn’t given any indication he wants to sign a new deal. But the Lilywhites are still hopeful of extending his stay in North London.
The England international is reportedly very keen to move to Germany where he can compete for major trophies.
He has been at Spurs all his career but is yet to lift a trophy despite being one of the best players in the Premier League.
The North Londoners are likely to improve their league position in 2023-24 following a disappointing 8th-place finish last term. But their prospects of winning a major trophy in the near future are very slim.
If Kane continues refusing to sign a new deal, Tottenham will be forced to sell him this summer as they will not be able to afford losing him for nothing next year.
