Wolves’ Rayan Aït-Nouri agrees personal terms with Nice

Sports Zone are reporting that Wolverhampton Wanderers full-back Rayan Aït-Nouri (22) has reached an agreement on personal terms to join OGC Nice. An agreement must now be found between the clubs in order to facilitate the Algerian international’s move to the Allianz Riviera, which according to Foot Mercato, may prove difficult.

Nice have been targeting a full-back for over a year. Joe Bryan was brought in on loan as a stop-gap last summer but was used sparingly. Les Aiglons are looking for a more permanent solution this time around, and according to both Foot Mercato and Sports Zone, Aït-Nouri is the priority. The player is open to the move, but a transfer may prove difficult.

FC Nantes’ Quentin Merlin is another option being explored by Nice Sporting Director Florent Ghisolfi. The Frenchman also features on Olympique Lyonnais’ shortlist, but Nice have gone a step further by opening negotiations. Juventus’ Luca Pellegrini is the third name on the list, but of the three deals, this one is the least advanced.
