Le Parisien report that PSG man Marco Verratti’s proposed move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal remains in the offing as talks continue between the two sides, with a huge salary on offer for the Italian midfielder.
The Saudi Pro League team, who were recently reportedly turned down by Paris striker Kylian Mbappé despite a €700m wage supposedly being on offer, are planning to offer the now 30-year-old Verratti a €50m yearly salary and a three-year contract should they come to an agreement with the French club over a transfer fee. Verratti’s contracted to PSG until 2026 but his current deal is dependant on the number of games played per season by the injury plagued midfielder.
Al-Hilal reportedly offered around €30m for the player earlier this week, but PSG are said to be demanding close to €80m, although reports suggest a deal could be done for around €60m.
Wolves midfielder Rúben Neves, Sergej Milinković-Savić of Lazio, Chelsea defender Kalidou Koulibaly, and Zenit winger Malcom have already joined the state-backed club this summer as part of a major transfer offensive by the Saudi league.
