Real Betis continue their hot streak in the transfer window, as they have added Alex Collado to their ranks.
As confirmed by the Seville-based club, the Spanish attacker has completed his move to Benito Villamarin on a free transfer, penning a long-term deal until 2029.
Barca have also confirmed that they have included a clause in the contract which will guarantee them a percentage of the profit of any future sale.
After rising through the ranks, Collado had his breakthrough with the first team in 2019 but found regular minutes hard to come by.
The 24-year-old spent the past couple of seasons on loan at Granada and Elche.
Having found himself not in Xavi’s plans, combined with the club’s financial woes, the Blaugrana decided to part ways with Collado.
Collado joins a long list of departures, including Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, Samuel Umtiti, Pablo Torre (loan to Girona) and Chadi Riad, with the latter also completing his loan move to Betis earlier today.
Collado will be eager to restart his career with a clean slate and make a name for himself in his new adventure.
The Vediblancos have seen an influx of new arrivals this summer, including Marc Roja(on loan from Leeds United), Marc Bartra and Hector Bellerin.
The headline act is former Real Madrid playmaker Isco, who has completed his switch to Betis on a free transfer.
The Spaniard had been without a club since leaving Sevilla in December, and Verdiblancos acted quickly to get his deal over the line.
