Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti is now edging close to a move to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that the move from PSG to the Middle East is now in the advanced stages for the Italian, with Al Hilal closing in on finding an agreement over the transfer. A three-year deal has been offered to the former Pescara man, with the move expected to be completed soon.
Roma had been previously linked with a move for the midfielder and Jose Mourinho had personally spoken to him about it. But financial inabilities meant that the move could never take shape. Juventus were also linked with a move for the Azzurri star but Verratti would’ve had to take a wage cut for that move, with the player said to be a Juve fan.
Al Hilal have already signed Sergej Milinkovic-Savic from Lazio and they signed Ruben Neves from Wolves earlier in the summer.
