Isco is on the verge of joining Real Betis, after completing his medical at the La Liga club, report Relevo.
The Spaniard has been without a club since his abrupt departure from Sevilla last December and cross-city rivals Betis are now set to close a deal for the playmaker.
After the departure of midfield creator Sergio Canales to Mexico, Betis are looking for a replacement in that area of the pitch.
Pablo Fornals and Giovani Lo Celso are on the club’s shortlist, but the Andalusian side can’t meet their current valuations.
Current Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini previously managed Isco during their time together at Málaga.
As it stands, Betis will have problems registering players ahead of the first game of the new campaign, which is why they are working on selling members of their squad. They also need to strengthen their squad and are looking to sign players on free transfers before the window closes.
