Wolves forward Raul Jimenez completes his medical ahead of joining Fulham in £5.5m move

Wolverhampton Wanderers forward Raul Jimenez has reportedly completed his medical ahead of joining Fulham in a £5.5 million move. 

The 32-year-old joined the Midlands outfit from Benfica in 2018 – initially on loan that was later made permanent. 

His five-year stay with Wolves saw him make 166 appearances across all competitions, netting 57 goals.

The Mexican footballer’s best season came in 2019-20 when he bagged 27 goals in 55 total appearances. 

He was limited to only eight Premier League starts due to fitness issues last term.

Jimenez has now completed his medical at Fulham and is set to join them in a £5.5m transfer, per Sky Sports News. 

He will replace Aleksandar Mitrovic, who is likely to leave the Cottagers in the ongoing summer transfer window. 

Fulham have already turned down two bids from the Saudi Pro League’s Al-Hilal for the 28-year-old. 

But Mitrovic is reportedly determined to move to the Middle East, and the Premier League outfit may have to let their disgruntled star leave this summer. 

Karim Benzema, Edouard Mendy, Kalidou Koulibaly, N’Golo Kante, Roberto Firmino and Ruben Neves are among the players who have moved to Saudi Arabia, and the Serbian striker looks close to joining them. 

Mitrovic’s departure would be a big blow for Fulham as he played an instrumental role in helping them finish 10th in the Premier League last season.
