Cristiano Ronaldo could leave Manchester United just one year after making the switch from Juventus. His agent Jorge Mendes is tasked with finding a new club for the Portuguese phenomenon.
According to La Repubblica, Bayern Munich are not the only club presented with an opportunity to sign Cristiano Ronaldo this summer. But the report understands Jorge Mendes has also approached clubs in Italy.
However, Ronaldo’s net salary of €29 million is considered unattainable for any Italian club. The report has described a breakdown in the relationship between Ronaldo and his current teammates at Man United as a reason the former Juventus forward want to leave the Mancunian club this summer.
Since returning to England, the 37-year-old has scored 24 goals from 39 appearances in all competitions. He has one year left in his contract at Manchester United.
At Bayern, he is regarded as a replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who is determined to leave the Bavarian club and join Barcelona this summer.
The German side could offer Ronaldo a salary of around €18 million, which will not be sufficient to match the financial demands of the Portugal international.
While playing for Juventus, the sharpshooter amassed 101 goals from 134 matches.
