Yesterday, Bayern Munich confirmed that Raphael Guerreiro will not travel with the rest of the squad to the Audi Summer Tour in Asia due to injury.
The club’s new signing from Borussia Dortmund pulled a muscle in his right calf during training on Saturday morning.
According to Bild, Guerreiro is likely to miss not only Bayern’s training camp, but also the start of the season.
Per the German tabloid, the injury is likely to keep the Portugal international out for 5-6 weeks.
Bayern lock horns with RB Leipzig in the Super Cup on August 12 before they face Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga opener on August 18.
