Inter Milan have reportedly made Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun their number one target.
The 22-year-old is one of the top talents to have emerged from the Gunners’ youth academy.
Since earning his competitive debut in 2020, he has gone on to make 10 senior appearances at the Emirates Stadium with two goals to his name.
His stocks grew considerably following an impressive loan spell at Stade de Reims, where he scored 22 goals in 39 appearances in all competitions.
According to reputed journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Inter have made Balogun their number one target to spearhead their attack for the coming seasons.
However, a deal for the 22-year-old is likely to be difficult with Arsenal setting a €50 million price tag on him.
The Nerazzurri are unwilling to match their valuation and want to secure a transfer for around €40m.
The North Londoners are unlikely to rush to make a decision over the United States international as he has many admirers even in the Premier League.
Inter were attempting to re-sign Romelu Lukaku earlier this summer but they have now abandoned their pursuit after learning the Belgian prefers a move to Juventus.
The Serie A outfit have made Balogun their prime target this summer but it remains to be seen whether they decide to spend a €50m fee for him.
They have already signed Marcus Thuram on a free transfer but are keen to bring in more attacking reinforcements.
Inter finished an incredible 18 points behind eventual champions Napoli last season. They will be looking to mount a serious Serie A title challenge in 2023-24.
