Harry Kane won’t sign a new deal at Tottenham Hotspur amid interest from Bayern Munich, according to The Times.
The Spurs striker is willing to join Bayern this summer but, at the same time, won’t push for a move himself. It will be on Bayern to offer the right amount of money for Daniel Levy to accept.
It’s reported that Levy would only accept a bid of €115m (£100m) for the England all-time top goalscorer. Bayern have already had two bids rejected by Levy. The second bid was only around €80m, some €20m short of Spurs’ asking price.
However, the fact that Kane won’t sign a new deal at the club plays into Bayern’s hands. Either Levy cashes in now or lets his prized asset go for free the following summer. Given his attitude when it comes to business, you’d feel Levy would be reluctant not to get something for his star player.
