Premier League side Burnley are in advanced negotiations with FC Basel to sign 22-year-old attacker Zeki Amdouni as an attacking reinforcement, according to Foot Mercato.
The Swiss youth international attacker (who scored 9 goals in 15 appearances for the Nati youth team) has held meetings with Burnley manager Vincent Kompany and has been seduced by the discourse of the ex-Anderlecht boss.
Talks are now at an advanced stage between all the parties for the attacker who is under contract until June 2027. The newly promoted to the Premier League outfit are hoping to close a deal in the coming hours in an attempt to avoid competition for a number of other interested parties in Europe’s top 5 leagues.
A deal is expected to be concluded for €18m between the two clubs. As of Monday afternoon, finer details were in the process of being thrashed out. Kompany continues to enjoy success in the transfer market.
