West Ham United are reportedly eyeing a move for Manchester United defender Harry Maguire this summer.
The Telegraph report the Hammers are targeting the 30-year-old after Declan Rice completed his £105 million move to Arsenal.
It is said the East Londoners prefer a loan move to a permanent deal at this stage.
United want a whopping £50 million fee for their centre-back who has two years remaining on his current contract.
Maguire endured a disappointing 2022-23 campaign at Old Trafford, starting only eight Premier League matches.
He greatly struggled for game time with Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof all ahead of him in the pecking order.
But the experienced centre-back is understood to be happy in Manchester and is confident he can break back into the first-team.
England manager Gareth Southgate has stuck by the former Leicester City star but his position now looks in danger ahead of the Euro 2024.
If his club struggles continue, he could find himself out of Southgate’s first-team in the prestigious competition.
Therefore, the 30-year-old could be tempted to leave the Red Devils in search of regular football.
He is still a top defender and has a lot to offer at the elite level of football.
The England international is highly rated for his excellent defensive skills, long balls and aerial duels.
He also boasts a lot of experience playing in the Premier League, having made over 200 top-flight appearances.
