Marseille have announced the signing of full-back Renan Lodi from Atlético Madrid, with the Brazilian becoming the club’s second signing of the summer following the arrival of Geoffrey Kondogbia last month.
L’Équipe have previously indicated that Les Phocéens have paid out a €13m fee to bring in the 25-year-old, who spent last season out on loan at newly-promoted Premier League side Nottingham Forest. According to Foot Mercato, there is also a 20% sell-on clause in the deal.
While in England, the 25-year-old made 32 appearances across all competitions and helped the club secure their Premier League status for the upcoming campaign. He was previously a regular in the Spanish capital for the last three seasons, having initially arrived from Athletico Paranaense.
Marseille have been looking to reinforce the flanks of their defence this summer, with all of Sead Kolašinac, Nuno Tavares and Issa Kaboré having left the club at the end of last season.
