Fabrizio Romano and Sky Germany report that Benjamin Pavard is a possible replacement for Kyle Walker at Manchester City if the latter joins Bayern Munich.
Earlier it was reported that Bayern have reached a verbal agreement with Walker over a move to the Bundesliga and now it is reported that Pavard is City’s top target to replace the 33-year-old, with Pep Guardiola a fan of Pavard due to his versatility.
City and Bayern are expected to engage in talks over a deal as agreeing terms with the player will be relatively easy due to the fact that Pavard wishes to leave Bayern this summer. It has previously been reported that Pavard could be sold for €30m as his contract at Bayern expires next summer.
However, Pavard has concrete options from other clubs. The 27-year-old has already held talks with both Manchester United and Juventus. The defender would also prefer to move to a club where he can play in his preferred centre-back position.
