Bayern Munich have reached a total verbal agreement with Manchester City’s Kyle Walker, according to Florian Plettenberg.
Bayern have been trying to sign the England international for a number of weeks despite City offering him an extension. However, it now appears head coach Thomas Tuchel will get one of his main transfer targets this summer.
The 33-year-old has reached an agreement with Bayern and will sign a contract until 2025 with an option to extend by a further year.
With Walker saying yes to Bayern, all that is left to do is find an agreement with Man City regarding a transfer fee. A transfer could be completed over the next seven days with Bayern gearing up for their pre-season schedule.
This transfer also opens the exit door for players such as Benjamin Pavard who currently is willing to extend his contract beyond 2024. Walker would likely come in as a starting right back in front of Noussair Mazraoui and Josip Stanišić next season.
