Tottenham offer Kane post-playing role to keep him

Tottenham Hotspur are doing everything within their power to keep Harry Kane. They want him to sign a new deal.

According to the Daily Mail, they have even offered him a post-playing career at the club to get him to sign a new contract. This term is on top of the 400k per week salary offer.

Kane has 12 months left on his deal with Tottenham and is looking to leave the club this summer but will not force things. He returned for pre-season training and is keeping his options open.

However, he has not given any inclination that he will sign the new deal. 

German giants Bayern Munich have been pushing to sign the 29-year-old striker, now the number one striking target for manager Thomas Tuchel. But Daniel Levy has maintained that he is not selling his prized striker.

Levy has already rejected two offers from Die Rekordmeister this summer and has asked them to stump up £120 million. Bayern don’t want to pay anything close to that figure.

Bayern are not alone in the race for the Englishman’s signature this summer. Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain have shown interest in signing the centre-forward.

Les Parisiens could lose Kylian Mbappe this summer. They will need a striker to replace him. They are reportedly ready to test Levy’s resolve with a €100 million bid.

Also, Manchester United were the first club to sound out interest in Kane, but they realised Levy would play hardball. They moved on and are negotiating a move for Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund.

Tottenham have offered Kane a role at the club beyond his playing days to entice him to stay, but the player has not even decided whether he wants to go into coaching or what he wants to do when he hangs up his boots.

The North London club is desperate to avoid losing the striker for free next year when his contract expires.

They know that it will be difficult to find a replacement. Tottenham are hoping to convince their captain to stay.
