Max Kruse is set to make a comeback to professional football, according to Bild.
The German tabloid reports that Kruse will undergo a medical today at 2. Bundesliga club SC Paderborn.
Kruse, 35, has been a free agent since his contract with VfL Wolfsburg was terminated in November.
Since then, the former Germany international has been on his own to keep fit.
He has played for a number of clubs in the past, including Gladbach, Werder Bremen and Union Berlin.
