Marcus Thuram’s likely destination appears to be Italy, but it’s now Inter that are leading the way to sign the French attacker over city rivals Milan.
Thuram (25) is leaning towards accepting Inter’s proposal, according to Fabrizio Romano. However, as reported via our colleagues at Get Italian Football News earlier today, Milan’s offer to the French international exceeds what the Nerazzurri are offering, which is reported to be around €5.5m.
As reported earlier today, Thuram has rejected an offer from PSG whilst RB Leipzig haven’t advanced on their interest to hijack a late deal. For a while, it looked as though Thuram would be heading to Milan with Les Bleus teammates Olivier Giroud, Mike Maignan and Theo Hernandez trying to convince the player.
Thuram will be leaving Borussia Mönchengladbach on a free transfer after deciding against a contract extension. The Frenchman enjoyed an excellent campaign with 23 goal contributions (16 goals, 7 assists) in 32 games across all competitions for Die Fohlen in 2022/23.
