Inter are now set to sign French striker Marcus Thuram and they have agreed personal terms with the ex-Borussia Monchengladbach man.
Gianluca di Marzio has now confirmed what has been reported by other sources in Italy, stating that Thuram has chosen Inter as his next destination, snubbing Milan in what is a late shock for the Rossoneri. There is now an agreement over personal terms between Inter and Thuram and even though the agreement is verbal, the move will go through soon.
Inter offered a wage of €5 million to €5.5 million to the Frenchman and they offered the promise of placing him at the centre of their project at the club. Thuram has now informed Milan that he will not join the club.
Stefano Pioli had personally spoken to Thuram in an attempt to convince him about the move and it was suggested that Theo Hernandez, Mike Maignan and Olivier Giroud had also tried to convince him about the Rossoneri. Elsewhere, it has also been reported that Thuram was confident about joining Milan until 12pm today, but Inter stepped in later.
