
Sky Germany is currently reporting that popular Berlin-born defender Moritz “Mercedes” Jenz is on his way back to Germany after all.
The German broadcaster reports that VfL Wolfsburg have negotiated a hefty transfer fee for the popular center back.
Per Sky, Germany’s green company team have negotiated a transfer fee in the €7-10 million range with Jenz’s French parent club FC Lorient. Though injuries limited the Tennis Borussia Berlin academy man to just 11 league appearances with Schalke during the second half of the just-completed campaign, his work was sternly praised and he quickly became popular in German footballing circles.
