Speculation linking long-time Borussia Dortmund international Mahmoud Dahoud with EPL side Brighton & Hove Albion have finally manifested into an official transfer. The 27-year-old moves to the Isle for his first foreign footballing station after three seasons with Gladbach and a further six more with Dortmund.
Dahoud was permitted to depart Westphalia on a free following the expiration of his current BVB contract. The twice capped German international contested 162 league fixtures with his two German sides, netting 11 goals in total. Some sketchy form had seen his estimated market worth fluctuate frequently.
At present, Dahoud is valued as a €12 million player in the latest transfermarkt listings. The former Düsseldorf academy man has been valued as high as €18 million and low as €6.5 million. He made just nine appearances in the most recent campaign, notching one assist.
We are delighted to announce that we have agreed to sign midfielder @modahoud8, when his contract with @BVB expires at the end of the month. ✍
