L’Équipe report that ex-France captain and current Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has met with the Premier League side’s new boss, Australian Ange Postecoglou, to discuss the ex-Celtic coach’s plans for Spurs.
The 36-year-old has one year remaining on his current contract but is seriously considering to leave the club during this summer transfer window. PIF have approached him over a move to the revamped Saudi 1st division, but he is unsure about a move to the Middle East as it would mean being far away from his family.
Therefore, talks are not at a concrete stage for a move to the Middle East. Instead, Lloris is set to play a waiting game to see how the European goalkeeper market moves and whether there will be options closer to the family home in North London, where his children are already in school.
It is not currently clear what the outcome of the World Cup winner’s meeting with Postecoglou was in terms of convincing the player more to stay or depart.
