Julian Nagelsmann could bring Benjamin Pavard to PSG with him

Although his move to the Paris Saint-Germain dugout has yet to be finalised, Julian Nagelsmann’s probable arrival could signal a change in direction in the Ligue 1 champions’ recruitment this summer, towards a more Bundesliga-oriented focus.

L’Équipe indicate this morning that the German’s move to the French capital could see PSG make a move for Benjamin Pavard as well, with the former Lille man being highly rated by Nagelsmann.

The World Cup winner’s contract with Bayern Munich expires at the end of next season, and with no sign of a renewal on the way despite an impressive second half of the campaign, the 27-year-old could return home to reunite with his former manager in Bavaria.

Pavard is reportedly favouring a move to a club that would deploy him as a centre-back, his preferred position and the one in which he has excelled this spring. Inter Milan and several Premier League clubs are also keeping an eye on him, although no concrete moves have been made yet.
