Per a report from Italy, Wolfsburg have identified Sassuolo’s Gian Marco Ferrari as a possible replacement for Micky van de Ven.
While rumors of Micky van de Ven’s possible departure from VfL Wolfsburg continue to swirl, the Bundesliga outfit appear to have found a possible replacement.
According to Sky Italia, ‘Die Wölfe’ have targeted Sassuolo’s 31-year-old centre-back Gian Marco Ferrari.
With a total of 224 Serie A appearances to his name, the Sassuolo captain would bring a wealth of experience to the Volkswagen Arena.
As Ferrari’s contract only runs until 2024, Wolfsburg should be able to secure his services for a relatively low fee, should he wish to make the move.
