Roma are now keen on selling Brazilian defender Roger Ibañez this summer and will soon speak to clubs about the player.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported about the ex-Atalanta player’s situation at the Giallorossi, stating that Tiago Pinto is insistent on impressing Jose Mourinho with signings this summer and after having sealed moves for Houssem Aouar and Evan Ndicka, he wants to sell a player to make some cash. That player will be Ibañez.
He will soon travel to London to speak to West Ham about Gianluca Scamacca but on that trip to England, he will also speak to other clubs about the sale of Ibañez himself. Roma want a minimum of €25 million from his sale, as it will help them ease their FFP issues.
Once Ibañez leaves, Roma will sign another defender and one target is Borussia Monchengladbach’s Nico Elvedi, who could be sold this summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal with the club.
