Max Allegri to reject Saudi League offer, set to stay at Juventus

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri has reportedly turned down an offer for a managerial role in Saudi Arabia, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Allegri is prioritising a peaceful vacation in Sardinia over engaging in discussions with Saudi emissaries.

Earlier this week, rumours surfaced that a Saudi Arabian club, potentially Al Hilal, had dispatched representatives to negotiate a managerial position with the Italian coach. 

They presented a massive offer to Allegri, but his focus lies elsewhere. 

The coach intends to talk with Juventus in the upcoming days to address his future. It does not look like he is interested in the Middle Eastern proposal.

Although currently on vacation, Allegri remains engaged with the affairs of the Bianconeri remotely. 

The 55-year-old is monitoring the contract renewal negotiations for Arkadiusz Milik and Adrien Rabiot.

The club will reveal their decisions regarding both players in the following days, keeping Allegri informed.

Juventus have already decided not to renew Angel Di Maria’s contract. The Argentine attacker is a free agent, and his former club, Benfica, are talking to him about rejoining.

Saudi Arabia’s hopes of securing another prominent European figure for their footballing legacy seem to be diminishing.

However, they will take solace in the recent acquisitions of Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante.

All signs now point towards Massimiliano Allegri remaining as the manager of Juventus for the forthcoming season. 

Allegri will lead his side to the Europa Conference League after their ten-point deduction dragged them down the Serie A table. 

Also, he will be hoping to be the man to help reestablish Juventus after they failed to win the league title in three seasons. 

Fans have complained about his style of play, but the former AC Milan manager still manages to get results.

Without the deduction, they would have secured a top-four finish. It looks like the Juve hierarchy will give him his chance to continue his work.
