Sport Bild reports that Max Eberl will remain in Leipzig until at least September despite reported interest from Bayern Munich.

Max Eberl will not leave his position as managing director for sport at RB Leipzig to join Bayern Munich at this point, according to Sport Bild.
Eberl is said to be one of the names on Bayern’s shortlist to replace recently sacked board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic.
However, Sport Bild now reports that Eberl has reached an agreement with Red Bull chief Oliver Mintzlaff to remain with Leipzig at least until the end of the summer transfer window.
This means that Bayern could approach the 49-year-old former Gladbach boss as early as September.
Fittingly, Bayern president Herbert Hainer recently insisted that the German champions are in no hurry to appoint Salihamidzic’s successor.
“In our search for a sporting director, we have decided to focus on quality rather than speed. Of course we would like to have him as soon as possible, but if it takes a few months or until Christmas, we will not be thrown off course. It has to be someone we are completely convinced of and who can achieve our ambitious goals,” said Hainer.
