Bayern Munich have officially confirmed the signing of Konrad Laimer on a free transfer from RB Leipzig.

Laimer, who is out of contract with Leipzig, has put pen to paper to sign a contract with the German champions until 2027.

“We are delighted to have signed Konrad Laimer. He comes to us as a two-time DFB Cup winner – and together we will now hopefully celebrate many more great victories and titles here at FC Bayern,” commented FC Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen.

Konrad Laimer himself described the move to the Allianz Arena as “a dream come true”.

“FC Bayern is one of the biggest clubs in the world. I will give everything for the club and the fans. FC Bayern always has the highest goals – just like me. I’m in the right place here. I’m only capable of giving 100 per cent, and that’s what I’ll put into every training session from day one. I can hardly wait.”

The 26-year-old defensive midfielder joined Leipzig from Salzburg in 2017. He made a total of 190 competitive appearances in a Leipzig shirt with 15 goals and 19 assists to his name.
