Konrad Laimer played his last game for RB Leipzig on Saturday night. After the 2-0 DFB-Pokal final win over Eintracht Frankfurt, the midfielder said:
“I was in Leipzig for six years and my contract is now expiring.
“I had a really good time with two titles. In any case, a nice ending.”
For months, it has been an open secret that the Austrian international would be joining Bayern on a free transfer, with only the official announcement pending.
The 26-year-old joined the club from Salzburg six years ago for €7 million.
