Sky Germany reports that Raphaël Guerreiro is still a target for Bayern Munich despite the change in management over the last few weeks.
There are no agreements between the two parties yet, but Bayern’s new management team in charge of transfers, which includes Uli Hoeneß, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Marco Neppe and coach Thomas Tuchel are all set on the 29-year-old who was a target under previous sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić.
Guerreiro is open to joining Bayern, as his contract with Borussia Dortmund expires at the end of the month, Guerreiro has previously told players at Dortmund about this desire.
Where the left-back will fit in at Bayern is still unknown. Guerreiro can either be a backup to Alphonso Davies or could even fill in a midfielder but he offers a different profile to what Bayern are currently searching for in the transfer market.
If the deal is completed Guerreiro will be the fifth player in the last 10 years to swap between the two teams. Moving from Bayern to Dortmund are Niklas Süle and Mats Hummels, while Hummels, Mario Götze and Robert Lewandowski have all swapped Dortmund for Bavaria.
