A report from Italy links Sergino Dest with a move to Union Berlin.

Union Berlin said to be closing in on Dest

Union Berlin are apparently leading the race to sign FC Barcelona right-back Sergiño Dest.


According to Calciomercato, the German capital club expect to seal a deal to land the U.S. international in the coming days.

Whether a loan move or a permanent transfer is on the cards remains unclear at this point.

Dest, 22, spent the 2022/23 season on loan at AC Milan, making a total of 14 appearances for the Serie A side. He has failed to make the squad in recent months.

Union Berlin finished fourth in the Bundesliga and are expected to significantly strengthen their squad in preparation for the Champions League.
