Werder Bremen have signed Dawid Kownacki from Fortuna Düsseldorf.

Werder have completed the signing of the 26-year-old Fortuna Düsseldorf striker Dawid Kownacki.
Since the Poland international’s contract expires this summer, he can join Werder free of charge.
“We are happy that we could convince Dawid with our concept and that he has decided for the Werder way, because we knew that other clubs from the Bundesliga also tried to get him. We are convinced that he will be an asset to us with his skills in the attacking area,” said Clemens Fritz, head of scouting and professional football at Werder Bremen.
According to reports, Freiburg, Gladbach, Union Berlin and Freiburg also showed interest in the striker.
