Having spent his entire professional career at Mainz so far, Finn Dahmen will be leaving the club when his contract expires this summer.
“I think it’s necessary for me to take the next step now, but I’m also extremely grateful for the time I spent here,” Dahmen is quoted as saying on Mainz’s website.
“I’ve been here my entire life, so it will definitely be a massive change,” added the 25-year-old goalkeeper, who wants to play more at his next club.
“I want to play regularly, because it’s what I enjoy doing, and I want to establish myself in the Bundesliga,” explained Dahmen, who has been behind Robin Zentner in the pecking order at Mainz.
