Both Bild and Ruhr Nachrichten report that Jude Bellingham is a doubt for Borussia Dortmund’s crucial game against Augsburg on Sunday.
Bellingham has not participated in team training on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The injury is likely to be related to his knee after he received a blow late on in Dortmund’s 5-2 win against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Saturday. The 19-year-old has been playing with his knee strapped for the majority of the season.
The midfielder has played 42 times for Dortmund this season only missing one game in the league through suspension. Bellingham is also having his best season in terms of output having scored 14 and assisted seven.
It could possibly mean that Bellingham will have only one game left for Dortmund, against Mainz, as it looks increasingly likely that the 19-year-old will leave at the end of the season and join Real Madrid.
The potential injury to Bellingham could see Raphaël Guerreiro return to central midfield. Other options are Mahmoud Dahoud or Salih Özcan.
